Beginning 2025-26 the district shifted K-5 services to Classroom-Based Services (CBS) delivered by general-ed teachers in students' neighborhood schools, replacing the former K5HC weekly 30-minute pull-outs. Full-Time Quest (elementary self-contained) and Middle School Quest continue without service-model changes. The earlier Part-Time Quest (POQ) pull-out was discontinued after 2024-25; existing 2nd-5th POQ students transitioned to Full-Time Quest in fall 2025.

Inglewood's statewide numbers put it in roughly the top 5% of Washington middle schools (Public School Review). If you stopped reading there, you'd file it next to the district's trophy schools. Don't. The more revealing comparison is against its own kind. Measured against 18 demographically similar schools, Inglewood lands at the 66.7th percentile for combined English Language Arts (ELA) and math proficiency, and at the 61.1st in math. In plain terms, this is a good school full of well-resourced kids performing about where well-resourced kids perform, not an outlier engine like the district's Quest-cohort magnets. What it offers instead is, for many families, more useful. This is a huge, well-run, stable neighborhood school with an aggressive math acceleration ramp (Algebra 1 in seventh grade for qualifiers) and a straight-line feeder path into Eastlake High. Clubs are built into the school day, so participation doesn't depend on a parent's afternoon availability.
Two things to weigh. The school's own climate data has shown a real connectedness problem; in spring 2022 only a third of students said they felt connected to adults in the building. And the district has slammed the enrollment door shut, listing Inglewood as closed to all transfers for 2026-27. If you don't live in the boundary, no amount of effort gets you in.
